Description Shoko, also known as Nigerian spinach. is a type of Celosia eaten in soups, stews, and side dishes in parts of Nigeria, Benin, Congo, and Cameroon. It is also the main leaf used in the preparation of efo riro, a popular vegetable soup. It can be used as a substitute for ugwu leaves.
