How to Install the Spring Steel Flexible Build Plate with Magnetic Base What’s Included 1x Magnetic adhesive base 1x Spring steel flexible build plate Tools You’ll Need Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or surface cleaner Paper towels or lint-free cloth Plastic scraper (optional, for bubble removal) Step 1: Prepare the Build Platform Remove the existing build plate from your 3D printer if installed. Clean the top surface thoroughly using isopropyl alcohol or a resin-safe cleaner. Ensure the surface is dry, flat, and free of grease, dust, or resin residue. Step 2: Apply the Magnetic Base Peel off the adhesive backing from the magnetic base sheet. Carefully align the magnetic base with your printer’s build plate. Stick the sheet down slowly, pressing from the centre outward to avoid bubbles. Smooth out the surface with your hand or a plastic scraper. Step 3: Install the Spring Steel Plate Place the spring steel flexible sheet on top of the magnetic base. Ensure it locks firmly into place with no gaps or lifting edges. Step 4: Re-Level the Build Plate Reinstall the build plate onto your 3D printer. Run the printer’s bed levelling process (manual or automatic, depending on your model). Check the gap between the build plate and FEP film to confirm proper alignment. Step 5: Test and Print Start a small test print to confirm adhesion. After the print finishes, flex the spring steel plate gently to release the model. Clean the plate with IPA before the next print. Important Notes Always re-level your printer after installing the flexible plate. Avoid using metal scrapers to remove prints, as the flexible plate does the job safely. Clean both the steel sheet and magnetic base regularly to maintain adhesion. Applicable printer(Tested) :
